Think Green, Make a Difference

Last night, Saturday, April 3, 2010, I was able to watch the replay of Born to be Wild: The Born Project which was aired last December 2009.
It was about their project in keeping, protecting, and saving our nature.

They showed how much food, water, gas, clothing, and other things that each people consume in their entire life.

They also mentioned the possible effects of these in our environment.
The food we eat, the water we drink, the gas we consume, and other necessities might be scarce in a short period of time because of the growing population.
The plastics, styrofoams, and other non-biodegradable things that we use will not easily decomposed.

I became curious and interested in this project because I want to know how to minimize these effects.

Born to be Wild has a facebook account where pledges from different people are posted. Add their account and make your own pledge.

I made my pledge, here it is:

My Pledge:
I promise not to use plastic spoon/fork and styrofoams
especially when eating in fast food chains.
I will bring my own spoon and fork.
I will tell my mother and aunts to use reusable bags instead of plastic bags when having their groceries.
I will also encourage my friends to make their own pledges.

As a student, it is the least that I can contribute, but no matter how big or small it is, I'll still do my promise. I will also do even small things that can help conserve our nature.

Think green! Let's make a difference!
How about you?
What's your pledge?
